After going two years without scoring, Sandro Ramirez has now had a hand in three goals in the last five weeks. The 24-year-old joined Real Valladolid on a season-long loan in July and has gone on to make 19 appearances in all competitions.

Sandro had to wait three months before bagging his first goal for the Spaniards, coming off the bench to score late on in Real’s 3-0 win over RCD Mallorca (November 3, 2019). The striker’s second goal came two months later in Real’s Copa Del Rey defeat to CD Tenerife (January 22).

And after making an assist in their 1-1 draw with Villarreal (February 8), Sandro got on the scoresheet more than two weeks later in the 2-1 win over Espanyol (February 23) – the third goal he’s scored and created in five weeks.

It remains to be seen if the 24-year-old has done enough to convince Valladolid to turn his move permanent this summer, but his upturn in form is good news. Sandro scored just one goal in 16 appearances at Everton. His only effort came in their Europa League defeat to Atalanta BC (November 23, 2017).

He needed a move away from Goodison Park to improve his confidence and is now featuring more regularly while being back among the goals.
