Yerry Mina is not an Everton player, his agent has come out to confirm.
This might be no surprise, of course, given that the club has made no official announcement but some speculation has suggested that an agreement with the player has been made by the Blues.
Speaking to Spanish media – via Sky Sports – Mina’s agent has moved to play down such reports:
He said:
“It is not true that Yerry has signed for Everton.
“Yerry has many teams who hold an interest in him but before we can think about that, we need to know what Barcelona plan to do.
A player with obvious power and talent, the Blues have been linked with the Colombian with him enjoying a fine World Cup with his nation.
So far, though, he’s not close to signing for us from Barcelona or for anyone else for that matter.
The Verdict
Will Mina join the club? There appears to be interest in him from us but we’re not alone and so nothing is really certain right now.
Certainly, I’d like him to come in but I’m not too sure where his head is at at the moment.
