Everton suffered a heartbreaking defeat against arch-rivals Liverpool at Anfield on Sunday, who ensured all three points would remain on the red half of Merseyside with a 1-0 win.
Jordan Pickford’s horrendous mistake in the dying moments gifted the only goal of the game to Divock Origi, stripping Everton of the chance to move three points ahead of Manchester United in the Premier League standings.
Pickford holds a strong status at Everton after a fine campaign so far, which comes on the backs of his heroics with England at the World Cup, but Gareth Southgate’s first-choice stopper has come under scrutiny this week.
While plenty of fans were supporting, others believe the mistake is unforgivable and want a reaction from the former Sunderland man in the fixtures that lie ahead – starting with tomorrow night’s hosting of Newcastle United.
We have gathered some of the comments from supporters below.
Jordan Pickford is still a top quality, potentially world class 'keeper.
Just 'one of them'.

Tell you what that Pickford blunder hurts but imagine he did it in a champions league final twice instead

Either way we stand by him. He’s the best keeper we’ve had since Big Nev and will only get better. We win together, we lose together!! Let’s give him a massive a massive reception on Weds!!!!
