Kurt Zouma was lauded for his performance as Everton enjoyed a 2-0 win over Burnley on Friday evening. The 24-year-old impressed at Goodison Park and helped his side keep their eighth clean sheet in 10 Premier League games. Everton are keen to sign Zouma on a permanent deal this summer and his latest performance highlighted exactly why fans want him to stay.

Good performance, made things easy there. Can’t say anybody had a bad game, I’d go for Zouma MOTM.

Zouma is the absolute must buy in the summer. So good again tonight! Get him and Gomes in early! Then go find this 20 goal striker. #summerbusiness

Everton fans are making their intentions clear to Kurt Zouma, loudly chanting his name as he makes his way around the pitch here
They desperately want him to stay, and no wonder with performances like this one tonight

Against Burnley, Zouma played a full 90 minutes, made 75 touches, 59 passes with 92% accuracy, won three aerial duels, completed four long passes (57%), made four interceptions and didn’t give away any fouls. The French international has made 35 appearances in all competitions this season, contributing four goals.
He’s made a real impact at Goodison Park, but Everton could struggle to sign Zouma permanently due to Chelsea’s transfer ban. Gary Cahill and David Luiz have uncertain futures at Stamford Bridge with their respective contracts expiring this summer, so it wouldn’t be a surprise if Maurizio Sarri recalled Zouma.
Everton’s win on Friday left them eighth in the league with 53 points from 37 games, boasting four wins and a draw from their last six. The Toffees’ last game of the season is against Tottenham on May 12.
