Everton take on Liverpool on Monday night at Goodison Park in the latest Merseyside derby and it’s one that the Blues will feel as though they can get something out of.
Whilst coronavirus continues to stalk the headlines and media outlets, it remains to be seen if it has any impact on the game on Monday but, at the moment, all plans are that the match goes ahead.
And, if the Blues can do anything to keep the Reds from winning the Premier League at least a little longer, they are bound to be eager to do so.
With that in mind, then, it’s perhaps little surprise that Toffees fans enjoyed the Champions League action last night as Diego Simeone and Atletico Madrid did a job at Anfield after extra time.
Amongst the celebrations, too, an Everton flag was noted in the crowd at several moments in the game in the away end.
Let’s take a look at how Blues revelled in the evening:
I’m in love. Add this to the Everton flag in the away end, and I’m an atleti fan https://t.co/60BKHbDrOO

Llorente should get that Everton flag out the crowd and do laps of the pitch with it in the air

If you’ve bought an atleti flag for Monday which I’m sure one of you have, please only wave it if we win

For the first time in 25 years an everton flag has seen a victory at anfield and it's because some athletico fans brought it for a laugh. What a club we are.
