With the transfer of midfielder Davy Klaassen from Everton to German Bundesliga side Werder Bremen being confirmed at the beginning of the weekend, Everton fans were quick to give their thoughts on the former Ajax man.
I want to say thank you to all the players, staff, fans, and everyone involved at Everton. I’ve always felt very welcome and at home. Wishing the team all the best💙 pic.twitter.com/Y7j3p5N2VX

Plenty didn’t feel he had lived up to his billing or price tag at Goodison Park but a similar number felt he’d never been given a proper chance to adjust to the English top-flight and they were sad to see him go.
The 25-year-old Dutch international might be settling into his life at the new club and a new country, but he took to social media himself over the weekend to give him thanks to the club and the fans for his brief spell with us.
As you can imagine, his words went over extremely well amongst the fanbase and particularly those who felt he had deserved more opportunities in our shirt last season.
