Everton have improved significantly under the guidance of Marco Silva this season, bouncing back from what has been a turbulent few seasons.
The Toffees entered the international break on a high after holding Chelsea to a goalless draw at Stamford Bridge, a venue where Everton had struggled in recent years – and the odds were stacked against them further due to the unbeaten streak enjoyed by Maurizio Sarri’s side.
A fine performance further identifies the improvements that Everton have made this season and their work has not gone unnoticed, attracting praise from former Everton striker Kevin Campbell on TalkSport.
Campbell has admitted he has been impressed by the early displays from Kurt Zouma and Bernard at Goodison Park, two new recruits who have bolstered the squad alongside other recruits like Yerry Mina, Andre Gomes and Lucas Digne.
Fans on social media were quick to respond to Campbell’s praise and we have gathered some of their comments below.
Fair honest assessment. Still a way to go until we can compete with top 6, but have to start somewhere. Hopefully next season and beyond we can compete. 7th this year and the gap closed is a start… hopefully

7th but 6th isn’t beyond us if the Mancs carry on the way they’re playing.
