Some Everton supporters have been reacting on social media after Richarlison struck the back of the net while on international duty with Brazil on Sunday.
The Selecao are currently preparing for the upcoming Copa America and took on Honduras in a pre-tournament friendly at the weekend.
Honduras were likewise preparing for their own international competition, but will not carry the same momentum into the CONCACAF Gold Cup as Brazil will for the Copa America, as Richarlison’s goal came as part of a 7-0 rout sparked by Manchester City striker Gabriel Jesus.
Jesus went on to add a second to his name in the 47th minute, following goals by Thiago Silva and Philippe Coutinho from the penalty spot.
Richarlison, meanwhile, rounded out the scoreline when he prodded home the ball in the 70th minute, following a string of passes down the left-flank which led to Gremio’s Everton drilling the ball into the centre of the box.
Our 2018 summer signing was also one of only three Brazil players to feature for the entire 90 minutes against Honduras and will be hoping for a similar result on Saturday when Tite’s men begin their Copa America mission against Bolivia.
