Go easy on a traitor?

With Everton taking on Manchester City at Goodison this weekend, it will see the return of Joleon Lescott, the first time since his highly controversial and complicated 22 million pound move to City from Everton.

Lescott left Everton for the millions of City in 2009, and has missed the previous 3 meetings between the two clubs due to injuries (which Everton won all 3 of the meetings).

The move of course, left a sour taste in the mouth of many Everton fans and David Moyes, and since the move, the relationship between the two clubs has been strained.

However, Everton skipper Phil Neville has come out and said: ‘I want the Everton fans to go easy on Joleon. He played for the club in a magical era and helped us to an FA Cup Final. He left in bad circumstances, but he is a good defender.’

Well Phil, I don’t think the fans will be that forgiving and I fully expect Lescott to receive a hostile reception as he rightfully should being an Ex-Everton player……. and a money grabbing **** (I am sorry, it was just too tempting).
