23 year old left back Luke Garbutt has headed to Wigan Athletic for a loan spell for more regular first team action to continue his own development.
The player has moved to Wigan Athletic on a loan deal that will expire in early January, and having made his Everton debut back in 2012, he now has twelve appearances to his name with the first team.
He becomes the third Evertonian to head out for greater experience this season following on from Conor Grant and Russell Griffiths, and it will be his fourth spell out from the club following time with Cheltenham Town in 2011/12, Colchester United in 2013/14 and Fulham in 2015/16.
With Wigan facing Birmingham last night in their latest Championship fixture this season, he didn’t feature in the game so will be hoping for his bow at the weekend.
