Fulham set to move for Everton midfielder in Janyary

|

Everton midfielder Abdoulaye Doucoure is the subject of interest from fellow Premier League side Fulham and he could be available for as little as £2 million in the January window according to recent reports

Everton signed Doucoure from Watford back in 2020 and he has failed to hit the heights expected of him when he first joined.

The midfielder joined the club for a fee understood to be £20 million as part of the toffee’s midfield rebuild, joining alongside Allan from Napoli and James Rodriguez from Real Madrid in Carlo Ancelotti’s first summer [via bbc.co.uk].

However, he has only managed 11 goal contributions in 78 appearances on Merseyside, disappointing stats considering he had managed 11 goal contributions in a single Premier League season with Watford before moving to Everton.

According to Sky Sports, Fulham are interested in making a move for Abdoulaye Doucoure in the January transfer window with the midfielder’s contract at Everton expiring in the summer.

The 29-year-old had previously spent a season with Marco Silva between 2017 and 2018 at Watford before Silva moved to Everton.

Now the Portuguese manager looks set to make an attempt to bring Doucoure to Fulham.
