Everton held a behind-closed-doors friendly against Aston Villa at Goodison Park, winning the game 2-0 thanks to two early goals from Anthony Gordon and Neal Maupay.
The blues played two friendlies on their mid-season trip to Australia, playing Celtic and Western Sydney Wanderers in Sydney.
Their win over Glasgow Celtics was not too convincing, with the game ending 0-0 after 90 minutes and Everton winning the game on penalties.
Although they struggled in the first 20 minutes in their win over Western Sydney Wanderers, the match and eventually the scoreline swung extremely in the toffee’s favour, with the game ending 5-1.
A trip to Carrington to face Manchester United in a behind-closed-doors friendly was next on the agenda, with Frank Lampard’s side putting in an encouraging performance against a strong United side. They drew the game 1-1 but no information on the match was ever released.
There were, however, details provided about the blues’ behind-closed-doors friendly with Aston Villa at Goodison Park, with Anthony Gordon and Neal Maupay both scoring inside 20 minutes to seal a 2-0 victory.
Jordan Pickford was called into action a few times late in the first half, but he stood firm. Mills and Maupay also came close in the second half but were unable to increase their lead.
