Some Everton fans have been urging the club to sign Celtic striker Odsonne Edouard after the Daily Record claimed the Frenchman is a potential target ahead of the summer transfer window.
Edouard has been in terrific form north of the border for the Hoops this term with a staggering haul of 27 goals and 17 assists across all competitions, including five strikes in 11 European games between the Champions League qualifying stages and Europa League.
The Paris Saint-Germain product’s bag of 21 goals in the Scottish Premiership this term is eight more than second-most prolific player Jermain Defoe (13), too, and account for 26% of the Parkhead side’s league goals.
But we are not alone in monitoring Edouard’s situation, as Newcastle, Manchester United and a host of top unnamed European sides are also said to be keen on the France U21 international.
Would you back a move for Edouard this summer?
Yes
No
Newcastle have seen just one of their 24 Premier League goals come from a recognised centre-forward this season, while Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has found himself forced to player wingers Daniel James, Mason Greenwood and Anthony Martial as United’s striker this term.
A deal for Edouard could cost as much as £30million after reports in January suggested Leicester City boss Brendan Rodgers was keen to reunite with the forward he signed from PSG two-and-a-half years ago.
Here are some of the messages shared as fans reacted to our reported interest in Edouard…

Quality player, doesn’t panic in front of goal. Loads of pace and can join in play.

In other Everton news, the club were unsuccessful in winter moves for a one-time league winner.
