Loads of Everton fans have been sharing their ‘hope’ in FC Barcelona re-signing Yerry Mina this summer amid the La Liga giants’ search for a new defender.

According to RAC1’s Gerard Romero, via Tribuna, the Nou Camp natives are looking to sign a new left-footed centre-half in the next transfer window, with head coach Quique Setien currently only able to call on three senior options.

Clement Lenglet and Samuel Umtiti are both left-footed options at centre-back for Setien, though the Catalan outfit are keen to bolster their numbers with someone under the age of 25 and who is fast on their feet.

Jean-Clair Todibo, who was linked with Everton in January, is also due to return to the Camp Nou at the close of the campaign following a productive loan spell with FC Schalke 04, though like Gerard Pique, is a right-footed option.

Romero did not offer any names of whom Barca have in mind to acquire this summer, but lots of Toffees fans have since shared hope on social media that the La Liga leaders consider re-signing Mina.
