According to Patrick Boyland of The Athletic, Bayern Munich are keen on Anthony Gordon. The 18-year-old has been in fine form for Everton u23s and could be the subject of interest from a number of European clubs as a result.

Everton want to keep Gordon and could be giving him first-team opportunities during the second half of the season, but whether the England u19 international would turn down a club like Bayern remains to be seen.

Gordon has shone at youth level for Everton, contributing 21 goals in 31 games for the u18s and 12 in 27 games for the u23s. He’s made two appearances at senior level, the last of which came in Everton’s EFL Cup defeat to Leicester City (December 18, 2019).

This season, Gordon is doing everything in his power to be promoted to the first-team. He’s scored (6) and created (2) eight goals in nine Premier League 2 appearances and contributed a further two goals in three EFL Trophy games.

Should Anthony Gordon be given more playing time for Everton?

Yes

No

The teenager only has six minutes of first-team football to his name in 2019/20, but he’s been on the bench three times in December and January, suggesting playing time will come soon. Bayern are barking up the wrong tree.
