Everton’s fine form in the Premier League continued with a 0-0 draw at home to Arsenal on Saturday, and Djibril Sidibe was one player praised by supporters for keeping the Gunners at bay. The 27-year-old returned from injury and replaced Seamus Coleman at right-back.
He was all-action in defence, frequently turning over possession with tackles and interceptions. Sidibe was impressive in the final third too, whipping in numerous crosses from out wide and taking on his opponent to get into dangerous attacking areas.
Agree thought he was excellent, its a no brainer to get him signed up.

Agreed, great to see he can be a beast defensively as well as going forward!

He’s a terrific right back. At least ancelotti has one position sorted. 10 to go. 😜

Against Arsenal, Sidibe played for 90 minutes, made 85 touches, won one aerial duel, completed 73.3% of his 45 passes, made one clearance, whipped in four crosses, made three tackles, drew one foul, made six interceptions and made four successful dribbles.
The French international has been a regular for Everton since October, making all 10 of his Premier League appearances in the last two months. Sidibe has three assists to his name too. He was replaced by Coleman in Everton’s 1-1 draw with Manchester United due to illness but came straight back in over the weekend.
The Toffees have now won one and draw two of their last three games against Chelsea (3-1), Manchester United (1-1) and Arsenal (0-0).
