Young Everton forward Fraser Hornby certainly took the headlines from Scotland’s Under 21 victory over Andorra on Thursday evening.

The European Championship qualifier saw the 18-year-old Academy graduate score a hat-trick in the game to give Scotland victory in the affair and having made his bow for Everton last season in the EFL Trophy as a substitute, before adding a Europa League start to his tally against Apollon Limassol before the turn of the year, big things are hoped for from the youngster.

His latest international exploits have simply boosted those hopes given his overall showing on the day and the lad is certainly proving himself worthy of the new long-term contract he was rewarded with earlier this year given his development across 2017/18.

If he keeps progressing like this I would imagine manager Marco Silva would certainly give him another taste of senior football this season, even if it only comes in the domestic Cup competitions to keep him engaged and fully motivated to kick on even further.
