Sandro Ramirez was nothing more than a disappointment at Everton and that has followed him to Real Sociedad, who Calciomercato claim will not be held to ransom at the end of the season.

The 5 foot 7 striker hardly deserved to be called a striker while at Goodison Park, as the Barcelona product only managed a single goal in his 16 games in Blue.

Luckily, at least at the time, Sociedad were happy enough to take the Spaniard back to La Liga on loan for the current campaign, but they are not expected to try and buy the forward as he has failed to score in 18 games for Txuri-urdinak.

With a contract on Merseyside until 2021, finding a new permanent home for the former U21 international when he eventually returns to England will prove challenging, maybe even impossible.

Hopefully there will be one side desperate for a new striker next season, as that is what we will be banking on right now.

The most likely outcome will probably be another loan move if he is not released, as at 23-years-old, Ramirez still has a lot left in him and is capable of playing across the attacking line, so a struggling side could take the risk.

We have already made back most of the money paid on his transfer, as well, as Calciomercato have reiterated that Real Sociedad paid €6million (£5.1million) on the loan for the season, while the BBC reported we offered Malaga £5.2m for his signature in 2017.
