According to Catalan outlet Sport, via Sport Witness, Yerry Mina has gone proverbially missing in what is a rather damning verdict of his time at the club so far.
The powerful centre-half was chased for much of the summer by our club after what was an impressive World Cup for him and his Colombia team-mates.
Eventually, we struck a deal with Barcelona to sign him up but since he hasn’t really hit the heights expected of him.
Indeed, he’s been poor at times and hasn’t played since the cup defeat to Millwall, whilst it now seems apparent he has lost his way at the club.
According to the report, it might be in part down to injury but there seems quite a lot of smoke and mirrors about this at the moment, and that is worrying.
For such a big outlay, you expect much more from the player and it remains to be seen what becomes of him once he is available for selection.
