Everton are reportedly weighing up a move for former Stoke City striker Marko Arnautovic, who is the latest candidate in the toffees search for a striker, according to recent reports

The blues have really struggled to find the back of the net so far this season. They have only managed to score a measly 15 goals in 20 Premier League games, which may have been one of the factors influencing the club’s recent sacking of Frank Lampard.

Everton looked set to complete the signing of Arnaut Danjuma on loan from Villareal, however, in peculiar circumstances, the 25-year-old decided to move to Tottenham instead.

They now must look at other options to solve their goalscoring problems.

According to The Telegraph, Everton are looking at potentially signing Bologna striker Marko Arnautovic during the January transfer window.

The 33-year-old is having a decent season in Serie A, scoring an impressive 8 goals in 14 games this season.

Arnautovic is also the 2nd highest scorer in Austrian football history, scoring 34 goals in 106 games for the national side [via Statista]

He has already had two stints in the Premier League, spending 4 seasons at Stoke City before they were relegated to the Championship.

He was then sold to West Ham United for around £20 million, where he scored 22 goals in 65 appearances for the hammers.
