Everton have shown signs of improvement under the guidance of Manuel Pellegrini but a lack of consistency has been an issue, with the Toffees potentially looking to resolve that problem with additions in the January window.
With Idrissa Gueye heavily linked with a move to Paris Saint-Germain, Inter Live states that Everton and West Ham are fighting for the signature of Inter Milan midfielder Roberto Gagliardini, adding that one £22m has been made.
The 24-year-old has struggled to retain a regular spot in Luciano Spalletti’s side this season after falling behind the likes of Borja Valero, Radja Nainggolan, Matias Vecino and Joao Mario in the fight for a starting spot.
Capped six times by Italy, Gagliardini would be a solid addition for the Toffees especially in a time when the futures of Gueye, James McCarthy and Morgan Schneiderlin remains up in the air – although Everton have confirmed they lack funds for movement in January unless departures take place.
