Everton to move for Leeds United target

|

Reports coming out of Italy suggest that Everton could be an option for Leeds United and Bournemouth’s target Nicolo Zaniolo.

The 23-year old who has been frozen out of Jose Mourinho’s AS Roma has been linked with multiple moves to the Premier League, firstly with Leeds United who are in talks with AS Roma regarding the loan move of Spanish midfielder Diego Llorente so with the two clubs already in talks, a loan move for the young Italian was also on the cards.

Since then, it was reported that Bournemouth had agreed on a fee in the region of £25M agreed upon between the two clubs and that Zaniolo had agreed to join Bournemouth and the Cherries had even booked a flight to England.

Since then, though, due to the money Bournemouth have already spent this January, they do not have the funds to take Zaniolo which is where Everton came into the conversation.

CalcioMercato have reported

#Roma#Zaniolo would have had a second thought about the English destination: the doors #PremierLeague could reopen, pay attention to #Everton in this sense

Zaniolo who has been absent from training the last few days has also taken ‘Football player AS Roma’ out of his Instagram ‘bio’ this week and it would be difficult for him to go back to Rome under the current circumstances.

For Everton, we are desperate for new signings especially those with creative ability and Zaniolo definitely can produce something from nothing, and if Everton can get an agreement with Mourinho for a loan with a potential option to buy at the end of the season it would make perfect sense.

Do you think we will make any signings before the deadline?

Manuel Fernandes (what a player he was by the way) joined Everton on loan in January 2007. But which Premier League club was he initially on loan at during the first half of the season?

no. we have been left behind again. nobody wants to sign for us the state the club is in .

Don’t think we will get any body in maybe in the summer but we could be relegated by then and possibly half of the squad gone as well.

According to comments in the Italian press, the Rom Owner will only sell him at the price agreed with AFCB. won’t agree to a loan and has “frozen” him out of playing again for Roma after Zaniolo wouldn’t even meet The Cherries representatives and sent his agent instead with outrageous wage demands, well above the generous salary AFCB had offered, which The Cherries management would not agree to as totally excessive to the excellent offer they had made.
Zaniolo overnight changed his mind and was prepared to fly over to sign BUT HIS CHANCE HAD GONE as The Cherries had moved for another player. You sign him Everton at your peril !!

As usual the blues leave it far too late to sign anyone decent ! Poor Dykes has been left a day and a half of the transfer window !!!!! Plus no one would want to join a club in 19th position fighting a relegation battle !!!
The club wasted far too much money in the summer on duds such as Macneil and Maupay and not replacing Richarlison ,the leading goal scorer !! Selling Gordon so late in the transfer window BIG MISTAKE, should have bitten Chelsea,s hand off when they offered £60 m and bought Brereton Diaz from Blackburn Rovers !!
If the team don’t,t buy a winger and goal scorer they, all be playing in the championship next season.
The owner has put over £700 m into the club and it,s just been wasted !!!
