This injury crisis has come at exactly the wrong time for the striker, being given an outside chance of making the England squad for the World Cup in a week’s time. However, due to his recent injuries, he was not selected to be in the squad by Gareth Southgate.Β
Everton will be hoping that he can make a return before the restart of the Premier League after the World Cup, but depending on the severity of his injuries, this might be a bit of a long shot for the Merseysiders.Β
