Everton look set to let centre-back Yerry Mina leave the club on a free transfer at the end of the season with his contract expiring in the summer. They are set to make a HUGE loss on the Colombian.

The central defender was a star performer for the Colombian National Team in the Russia World Cup 2018, scoring 3 goals in 4 games as well as a late equaliser against England in the round of 16.

He moved to Goodison Park in the same summer with his price obviously heavily inflated due to his good World Cup performance.

However, Mina’s time on Merseyside has been defined by his injuries. The 28-year-old has only appeared 80 times in the Premier League for Everton since joining, missing a massive 87 Premier League games through injury.

According to Brazilian reporter Raisa Simplicio, Everton will not attempt to renew Yerry Mina’s contract which expires in the summer, which will allow him to sign a pre-contract agreement with another club in January.

Over his 5 years at the club, Mina has earned £6,240,000 annually, meaning he will have earned £31,200,000 by the end of his contract [via spotrac.com]
