Everton now look set to announce ex-Burnley manager as their new head coach after the recent sacking of Frank Lampard due to his side’s lack of form of late, according to multiple recent reports.

The club announced the departure of Frank Lampard as first team manager after almost a year in the job, with his side sitting above rock bottom of the lead just by goal difference with 18 games to play.

There seemed to be multiple candidates on Everton’s list to replace Lampard, with Marcelo Bielsa and Sean Dyche seemingly the front runners in what turned out to be a two-horse race in the end.

However, recent reports suggest that they have made their final decision.

According to Everton transfer specialist ElBobble, Everton have agreed on a deal to appoint Sean Dyche as their new head coach with immediate effect. They have also asked Ian Woen to become the assistant manager.

Dyche began his managerial career with Watford in the Championship, finishing in a strong 11th place in his one and only season at Vicarage Road.

The following year, the Englishman would join Burnley as their new manager, succeeding current Newcastle United manager Eddie Howe in the role.

Despite being sacked by Burnley at the midway point of last season, Dyche spent a remarkable 10 years at Burnley Football Club, becoming somewhat of a club legend and even having a pub named after him.
