Everton are unbeaten since the return of the Premier League and ahead of Wednesday’s game, Toffees boss Carlo Ancelotti has received a huge boost.

Towering centre-back Yerry Mina was spotted in training ahead of the tie, meaning he could be available for selection as Leicester City come to Goodison Park tomorrow night.

The club’s official Twitter account posted the following image…

Mina is yet to feature since football’s comeback and had started five of Everton’s final seven matches before lockdown struck, so it’s an interesting selection dilemma for Ancelotti to deal with.

The 25-year-old has started 27 times in all competitions for the Toffees this season, so clearly the Italian values him as a decent first-choice option but with Michael Keane and Mason Holgate yet to concede together this month, it leaves him with a headache.

Should Mina start tomorrow night?

No!

No!

Yes!

Yes!

He was often favoured over the latter, but the young English defender has been receiving his fair share of plaudits from the Goodison Park faithful in recent matches.

At the start of the month, Mina was ruled out for ‘several weeks’ after suffering a muscle tear in his left quad during training.

Ancelotti will no doubt be pleased with the selection conundrum as it means he has a wide variety of options to choose from and with so many games coming thick and fast, it’ll help fitness with the ability to rotate key areas.
