According to Diario Sport – via Football Espana – the Blues have met with Barcelona in a bid to tie up a deal for full-back Lucas Digne.
It appears to me that, despite a slow summer up until now, the Blues are now starting to get things in order with the likes of Richarlison coming in earlier this week.
Silva seems to know who he wants this summer, now, and a new left-back is a must with Digne the leading candidate.
The Blues have met Barca over the potential transfer of the player, then, and so hopefully this will be a matter of when not if now.
The Verdict
Digne is a good player with potential waiting to be unlocked.
Barca appeared to be the big move for him but that went by the wayside and it looks as though he’ll be leaving this summer.
Certainly, though, I’m happy that we’re aiming to get him in.
