According to Fotomac, Everton ‘made an offer’ for Ozan Tufan in January that the 25-year-old ‘could not refuse’. A deal never materialised, but Fotomac say Fenerbahce are ‘warm’ to a sale this summer to stay in line with Financial Fair Play.

Tufan is said to be on the radar for a lot of clubs in Spain and England, but he’s regarded as a ‘favourite’ of Everton. The Turkish international has impressed for Fener this season, so he may finally be on the move in the coming months as a result.

Which club did Everton loan Cenk Tosun out to in January?

Tufan joined the Sarı Lacivertliler from Bursaspor in 2015 and has gone on to make 124 appearances in all competitions, scoring 12 goals and making 14 assists. The centre-midfielder has been a regular under Zeki Murat Göle this season, making 26 appearances across the board while having a hand in nine goals.

As per WhoScored, Tufan has played 2246 minutes of Super Lig football, created 35 chances, completed 82.5% of his 1073 passes, won 24 aerial duels (54.5%), had 47 successful dribbles (74.6%), whipped in 30 crosses with 26.66% finding a teammate, had 47 shots with 23.4% hitting the target, blocked 13 passes/crosses/shots, made 27 clearances, won 55 free-kicks, given away 34 fouls and averaged a tackle (49) or interception (28) every 29 minutes.

With Gylfi Sigurdsson and Morgan Schneiderlin being linked with moves away from Everton this summer, the Toffees are on the hunt for replacements. John McGinn, Allan, Geoffrey Kondogbia and Morgan Sanson are on Everton’s radar, but it remains to be seen who they’ll end up with.
