According to Italian outlet, Torino Granata, Everton are among a group of Premier League clubs looking to get Nicolas Nkoulou to sign in the summer window.

When the transfer window is going to open up remains to be seen, of course, with what is going on at the moment but it will eventually and the Blues are probably going to be busy.

It’ll be the first summer window for Carlo Ancelotti to go about adding to his squad and with the money the club now has, Blues fans should expect an exciting period.

The links are already beginning to rear their head, then, and it looks as though we’re being linked to Torino defender Nkoulou.

With Carlo Ancelotti’s background, it’s perhaps no surprise to see Serie A players being linked and, promisingly, Nkoulou is a player that would add to the team’s spine.

A 29-year-old centre-half with 75 international caps to his name, he is a player in his prime with a wealth of experience available to him.

The Blues need to add an extra level of knowhow to really kick on and qualify for Europe on the regular but getting him in probably won’t be easy.

The report underlines the fact that both Wolves and West Ham, as well as Bournemouth are also keen on the player and so a bit of a war could be on to get him.

That said, only Wolves should really be seen as rivals for his signature as the other pair might not even be in the Premier League next season, if it ever resumes.
