Everton Interested in Talented Teenager

|

Aberdeen’s 15-year-old sensation Lewis Pirie is one of the brightest prospects to emerge from north of the border in some time, with reports suggesting that the prodigious talent could soon make a move to Goodison Park.

Having already found the net on 33 occasions for club and country so far this season, there has been a plethora of clubs looking to secure the young man’s signature, with Everton facing competition from Sheffield United and Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Pirie, who came off the bench to net Aberdeen’s winning goal in their recent FA Youth Cup victory over Queens Park, has been watched by scouts looking to bring the youngster to Goodison Park, as the teenager’s continued eye for goal adds to his already glowing reputation.

Scoring 4 goals in a recent 5-2 win for Aberdeen’s Under 16’s over Dundee United, the young forward no doubt impressed the scouts in attendance, including those from Everton. A winning strike for Scotland Under 16’s against Wales in the Victory Shield further exemplified Pirie’s ability at both domestic and international level as the young striker’s development continues at pace.

January could prove to be a big month for Pirie, with the teenager then eligible to sign professional forms, with Aberdeen manager Jim Goodwin reportedly desperate to ensure he remains at Pittodrie. Indeed, the young man has already been involved with some first team training sessions under Goodwin’s guidance, but with so many clubs looking to lure him away, no doubt it will be a challenge to keep hold of such a sought-after talent.

Could we see Lewis Pirie starting up-front for Everton in years to come?
