Everton have had a loan bid rejected for Aston Villa striker Danny Ings with the Villians only wanting to sell the Englishman on a permanent deal in January, according to reports

There has been several questions over Frank Lampard’s job after his side’s 4-1 loss to Brighton at Goodison Park. However, it seems Kevin Thelwell and his team are still looking for attacking reinforcements in the January transfer window.

Danny Ings looks to be at the top of the toffee’s list of potential January signings.

According to Dominic King, Everton have had a bid to sign Danny Ings on loan rejected by Aston Villa. The only way Villa will allow Ings to move is on a permanent deal.

Ings has been a constant goalscorer during his time in the Premier League, having hit double figures in 3 seasons.

The 30-year-old has fallen out of favour at Aston Villa under new manager Unai Emery, with the Spaniard instead preferring to play Ollie Watkins up front instead of him.

Despite only starting 8 games this season, he has managed to net 5 times in the league, including once against Everton.
