Everton have been fined £20,000 by the FA for failing to ensure that their players conduct themselves in an orderly fashion during their 3-0 win over Crystal Palace earlier in the season.
Frank Lampard’s side would go into their Premier League fixture against Crystal Palace at Goodison Park with a point to prove after losing their previous 3 fixtures on the bounce.
The blues would take the lead just 10 minutes in through Dominic Calvert-Lewin. That lead would be doubled through Anthony Gordon just after halftime.
However, in the 69th minute, tempers would start to fly after a strong tackle on Anthony Gordon by Wilfred Zaha, with almost all players on the pitch getting involved.
As a result of the incident, Crystal Palace’s Wilfred Zaha, Marc Guehi and Jeffrey Schlupp all received a yellow card, whilst Everton’s James Tarkowski was the only Everton player to go into the book.
Because of the incident, the FA Spokesperson has confirmed that Everton were fined £20,000 and Crystal Palace were fined £40,000 for ‘their players failing to conduct themselves in an orderly fashion’.
