As pre-season preparation gets underway at Finch Farm, Marco Silva can finally get a firsthand look at the squad he inherited from Ronald Koeman and Sam Allardyce.
With Silva intent on bringing an exciting, attacking brand of football back to Goodison Park an overhaul of Everton’s ageing squad is expected.
Everton fans on social media are becoming increasingly excited by the prospect of seeing Ademola Lookman back in the team, arguably more so than a potential new signing. This is understandable considering that the 20-year-old speedster earned rave reviews during a lucrative loan spell with German outfit, Red Bull Leipzig.
Lookman featured 11 times in the German Bundesliga as Leipzig finished sixth to secure Europa League football for next season. The former Charlton forward who operates either as a second striker or as a left winger contributed towards 9 goals in those 11 appearances, with 5 goals and 4 more assists.
