Everton have been linked with a summer swoop on the Eredivisie to sign Ajax product Hossein Zamani, but Director of Football Marcel Brands appears to face a Euro-wide battle if he is to land the 5 ft 7 winger.

According to the Daily Mail, the Iran-born wonderkid is considering quitting the Johan Cruijff ArenA natives in search of a new challenge, with his potential availability set to put a number of clubs on high alert.

The likes of Manchester United, Manchester City, and Leicester City have all been credited with an interest in the former Netherlands U15 international, widely seen to be one of the most promising young players in Europe right now.

Everton are also mentioned to have a serious interest in striking a deal for Zamani, who holds dual nationality with Afghanistan.

AC Milan, Olympique de Marseille and Atalanta B.C. could scupper any plans Brands is currently putting in place, however, as the French and Italian outfits are also thought to be keen on the right-footed, natural left-winger, also capable of plying his trade on the right flank.

Zamani has scored six goals and been credited with one assist during his 43 appearances in the Dutch U17 Eredivisie and Preliminary Rounds to date, according to TransferMarkt.
