Everton defender Michael Keane is set for a move away from the club in January according to Turkish journalist Ekrem Konur.

A loan is currently being talked about for the 29-year-old (30 in January) and this has been mirrored by DailyMail who link him with moves to both Nottingham Forest and West Ham United as both clubs enquired about the defender in the summer but after two injuries in the opening game in defence, any departure for Keane was turned down.

Along with the Premier League clubs, Keane might be hoping a potential move away from England could ensue after he secured an Irish passport [DailyMail] and after looking at Chris Smelling reviving his career this could be something Keane might want to try.

So far this season Keane has made one sub appearance in the league and started both games in the Carabao Cup and after last night’s performance, I can’t see him getting another chance anytime soon unless everyone gets injured.

Michael Keane is a ‘confidence’ player and right now he has none of that, I think a move away would be good for him so he can get regular game time and rediscover his love for the game, if he does move on I for one want to thank him for starting the come back in that game last season vs Crystal Palace.

Do you think it is time for Keane to move on?
