Everton have made contact with the directors of German side Eintracht Frankfurt over making a potential move for World Cup star striker Randal Kolo Muani in the January window, according to recent reports

Kolo Muani completed a move to the Bundesliga with Frankfurt after a few successful seasons in France with Nantes, scoring 21 goals and grabbing 8 assists in the two seasons before leaving the club in the summer.

He has performed very well since moving to Germany, providing 14 goal contributions in 14 Bundesliga games, leaving his side in a Champions League position as they approach the halfway point in the season.

His brilliant club form earned him a place in the French squad for the Qatar World Cup. He made 5 appearances for the eventual finalists in the competition as well as scoring a goal in the semi-final against Morocco.

According to Mercato Sport, Everton have contacted the directors at Eintracht Frankfurt for information on Kolo Muani’s situation over the last few days ahead of a potential move. However, Tottenham Hotspur and Bayern Munich have an advantage in the race for the 24-year-old.

Frankfurt valued the Frenchman at £50 million before the World Cup, but due to his good performances, he is now reportedly valued around £60 million.

Although Kolo Muani would be a great addition to Frank Lampard’s squad, however, he could be a bit out of Everton’s price range.
