The player had been at the club for pretty much most of the day so it had always seemed it was only a matter of time before he would be officially confirmed as a new signing on deadline day and confirmation of his deal came through just prior to the window slamming shut.
The Brazilian has signed a new four-year deal at Goodison Park.
Our late deals have broken the Everton Official Site but Sky Sports News have also confirmed the signing of centre-half Yerry Mina. Confirmation at this stage comes from Barcelona directly who have confirmed a 30million Euro transfer for the World Cup star.
The loan signing of fellow Barcelona player Andre Gomes has also been confirmed inside of the last ten minutes or so. He comes in for the 2018/19 campaign as per the earlier speculation after moving to the Nou Camp two years ago.
