Italian outlet Gazzetta dello Sport – via Sport Witness – reckons that we have made an enquiry over the availability of striker M’Baye Niang.
Niang is a player that has been linked before with our club this summer and so it is perhaps no surprise that he has come up again.
He apparently prefers a move to France according to the report, but Everton have made contact with AC Milan asking about him – as have West Ham.
Certainly, then, there seems to be a number of clubs interested in the powerful forward and it remains to be seen exactly where he ends up.
The Verdict
Niang would give us some much needed pace going forwards but I don’t know whether he’s really good enough to make a massive difference.
He’s been okay for AC Milan but they’ve not exactly upped trees in recent years and so if we miss out on him I won’t be all that bothered.
