Speaking to Everton TV – via BT Sport – midfielder Tom Davies has said that he is determined to take his chance when he gets it this season.
The midfielder burst onto the scene a couple of years ago with some Roy of the Rovers performances but in recent times he has perhaps fallen down the pecking order a little.
That is probably natural for a young player – especially in his position – but we all want to see him come through and force his way back onto the big stage.
It looks like that is what he is aiming to do, too, with him saying:
“There’s big competition so for me when I get a chance I’ve got to take it so that’s what I tried to do.”
He could be our next local hero if all goes well and that is certainly something that we’d love to see.
We can’t put too much pressure on him, though, and hopefully, he will flourish under the guidance of Marco Silva.
It’s a very big season for him this year potentially.
