Everton suffered a heartbreaking defeat to Liverpool on Sunday, where Divock Origi scored the only goal of the match in the dying moments at Anfield after Jordan Pickford’s mistake.
The loss is only the Toffees’ second in the past eight Premier League matches but it marks a disappointing start to December for Marco Silva’s side, who will be looking to bounce back over the course of the busy festive season.
Everton have an opportunity to return to winning ways on Wednesday evening against Newcastle United at Goodison Park, where fans will be hoping for a better result and improved performances from some members of the squad.
After the defeat against Liverpool, some fans on social media were critical of experienced full-back Seamus Coleman and stated their belief that a new signing is needed in this area – while others disagreed and claimed he was one of the better performers.
We have gathered a variety of their comments below.
This is not like gana at all and as much as I love coleman we do need a new rb.

Right hand side needs a complete overhaul. Coleman and Walcott are our weak links

Alexander Arnold has been woeful. By contrast, Seamus Coleman is probably MOTM
