The loss is only the Toffees’ second in the past eight Premier League matches but it marks a disappointing start to December for Marco Silva’s side, who will be looking to bounce back over the course of the busy festive season.

Everton have an opportunity to return to winning ways on Wednesday evening against Newcastle United at Goodison Park, where fans will be hoping for a better result and improved performances from some members of the squad.
