‘Decent’, ‘Honestly, no one’ – Some Everton fans discuss potential signings

|

Some Everton supporters have been discussing whether or not there is anyone at the relegated sides Marcel Brands should have an eye on, in order to strengthen Marco Silva’s options next season.

The likes of Fulham, particularly, went heavy in the transfer market last summer as they sought to stay afloat back in the top-flight by adding names across the field, rather than relying on the bulk of whom that secured their promotion out of the Championship.

Now, most if not all of the high-level names signed will likely seek a route out of Craven Cottage, and those on high wages will probably have to be sold to avoid the soon-to-be second-tier outfit crippling itself financially.

Cardiff and Huddersfield, on the other hand, rarely dipped their toes too far into the market, and ultimately paid the price by falling out of the Premier League weeks before the season finished.

Now destined for a return to the Championship, the Bluebirds are going to lose arguably their best player in Victor Camarasa, as the Spanish centre-mid was only signed on loan from Real Betis.

Betis manager Quique Setien, though, has already instructed his La Liga outfit that Camarasa will not be a part of his plans next season, which Marca have followed with claims that the 24-year-old will be sold amid interest from West Ham, Leicester, Tottenham and us.

Many of our supporters on Reddit, however, are not convinced the relegated sides hold many talented individuals who would improve our squad…
