We have had a few killer moments in our season that made European football a distant dream, but that win against West Ham has got us back in the race for 7th.

We now sit in ninth place, with just a point separating us from Wolves and Leicester City, having entered the latest round of Premier League fixtures in eleventh and four down on the coveted seventh place that Wolves currently occupy.

Nuno Espirito Santo’s Molineux outfit were unable to stretch their margin over us, though, as relegation-threatened Burnley kept them at bay to record a 2-0 win. Watford also had their struggles at the weekend as they lost to Man United.

With Wolves now set to host the Old Trafford outfit, we could move ahead of the high-flying side with a result over Arsenal on Sunday.

To get anything against the Gunners, though, we will need Jordan Pickford to turn in a performance like the one he managed at home to Chelsea when we beat Maurizio Sarri’s side 2-0.

The England ace is currently enjoying a profitable spell of form, despite his disastrous performance at Newcastle, having kept the opposition at bay four times in our last five games – the Magpies being the only side to beat him in that time.

Pickford’s shot-stopping has even moved the 25-year-old into fourth for clean sheets in the league, one behind third-placed Kepa Arrizabalaga.

When our key man’s surprisingly high current standing was shared on the R/Everton Reddit page, this is what you had to say…
