Everton suffered a frustrating result on Monday evening after being held to a 2-2 draw by Watford at Goodison Park.

The Toffees only secured a point courtesy of Lucas Digne’s dramatic free-kick deep into stoppage time and the result means it is now three games without a win for Marco Silva’s team.

One key moment in the draw with Watford was a second-half penalty miss from Gylfi Sigurdsson, which came just moments after Abdoulaye Doucoure had fired the Hornets in front, and fans were teased by the club’s official Twitter account on Tuesday.

Everton published a tweet wishing veteran left-back Leighton Baines a happy 34th birthday and it led to many fans all saying the same thing – that he was needed on Monday to take the penalty which could have led the Toffees to a valuable win.

Baines has featured just four times this season due to injury but the comments from fans suggest they want him back in action ASAP. We have gathered some of their quotes below.
