Everton underwent a major restructure in the summer following the arrival of Marco Silva, with a number of departures taking place alongside a wealth of impressive signings.
One of those that left Goodison Park later in the summer was Yannick Bolasie, who moved to the Championship to join Aston Villa on loan until the end of the season after falling out of favour at Goodison Park.
The 29-year-old has had to work hard for opportunities at the club, with his first 11 appearances in the league coming off the bench – although he has now started each of the last three Championship games, boasting two assists in that time.
Villa remain unbeaten with Bolasie as a starter and his latest opportunity came on Friday evening, where Dean Smith’s side were held to a 2-2 draw against fellow promotion candidates West Brom.
While that result was disappointing for many, Villa are unbeaten since a defeat to QPR at the end of October and many fans took to social media to heap praise on Bolasie.
We have gathered some of their comments below.
We've just got to keep up this level of performance Yannick, we do so we will without doubt chase down where we want to be. Has to be some extra shooting practice for Tammy this week, will leave you to sort that 😀😂😉 #UTV

You’re a great player mate. You remind me of John Barnes the way you run with it and especially the way you cross. Class.
