The Liverpool Echo do a regular piece called View from the Gwladys Street and the most recent piece I think has made a rather poignant point.
At the weekend we saw Richarlison sent off against Bournemouth for a bit of a lash out and that left us once again with ten men.
Certainly, it wasn’t the best moment but he’ll be back in the side as soon as possible of that you can be sure.
That said, Mark Kerry – speaking to the Echo – raised a very good point that he may now be targeted as a hot-head this season by the opposition.
He said:
“Another negative would now be that I think he’ll have a problem now that opposition know he’s a hot head. He seems to have been a target already for fouls but if they know they can get a rise out of him it may become verbal and physical.”
He’s a top young player but quite often such talents can be on the edge – just look at Wayne Rooney when he was a kid.
The lad will have to get on top of that as soon as now, then, because I think we will, unfortunately, see players go after him.
