Anthony Gordon has asked to leave Everton Football Club after not turning up for training at Finch Farm for the last 2 days, with Newcastle United interested in signing the winger, according to recent reports

Everton parted ways with former manager Frank Lampard on Monday evening after a quite frankly dreadful run of form, with his side failing to win in his last 10 games in charge.

Two days after his sacking, the blues seem no closer to appointing a new manager.

However, when they eventually appoint a new manager, they will be needing some extra funds to complete some transfers before the transfer window closes on January 31st.

They could be gaining these extra funds through sales and one of these sales could happen sooner rather than later.

According to Everton transfer specialist ElBobble, Everton winger Anthony Gordon has asked to leave the football club after failing to turn up for training at Finch Farm for the last two days.

Although Gordon played a pivotal role in helping the club to stay in the Premier League last season, he has failed to hit the same heights this season.

3 goals in 16 Premier League games this season has lead to numerous links with the 21-year-old moving away from Goodison Park in January, with Newcastle United reportedly the most interested in signing Gordon.

A decent bid would surely force Everton’s hand into a sale, considering the funds that are needed for Everton to end the transfer window stronger than they entered it.
