Agent confirms £25k-per-week Everton man is ‘negotiating’ with CSKA Moscow

Nikola Vlasic’s agent Tonci Martic has confirmed that the £25k-per-week Everton forward is in talks with CSKA Moscow over a potential move this summer. He said that no deal had been reached for Vlasic, the 21-year-old is just “negotiating” with the Russian Premier League side for now.

Martic told Championat (h/t Sport Witness): “I can’t confirm that CSKA and Everton have reached an agreement for Vlasic. All I can say is Nikola and CSKA are in talks and we are negotiating.” Vlasic is expected to leave Everton after failing to nail down a regular spot since joining in 2017.

The Croatian international has gone on to make 19 appearances in all competitions for the Toffees, scoring and creating three goals. Vlasic’s last outing for Everton came against Southampton on May 5, 2018 and he appears unlikely to feature in another.

The 21-year-old spent last season on loan at CSKA, contributing 15 goals in 31 games, and clearly made enough of an impression for the club to consider turning his move permanent this summer. A deal could suit all parties, with Everton getting some money back for the player and Vlasic joining a side he’s already impressed at.

After his arrival at CSKA, Vlasic missed only two league games in 2018/19 and featured in every Champions League outing, most notably scoring against Real Madrid in a group stage win in October.
