Yesterday evening Everton confirmed that Nikola Vlasic had completed the formalities on a season-long loan move to Russian side CSKA Moscow.

It was expected the 20-year-old midfielder would move on as he didn’t really appear to be in manager Marco Silva’s plans given our summer strengthening but plenty of fans were hoping it would only be a loan move, as opposed to a permanent switch, given the talent the lad has at his core.
The Croatian international has made 19 appearances for the club since his arrival from Hajduk Split back on deadline day in August 2017 but it’s fair to say he has struggled at Goodison Park.
A solid run of games, some form and Champions League experience during his loan spell may see him return with bumper confidence and he could get his career with us really up and running next season – at least that’s the hope. If not, a solid loan spell out with good performances will help his transfer fee if we decide to offload, so win, win.
Why besic ?

Probably because he’s not very good at football

Good luck Vlasic! Wish to see you back to Everton’s match next season.

£10 mill down the drain. Last summer was one of most laughable windows in prem history.

Still young, hopefully we see him sometime next season.

If only he was played

Rather him than Lookman. Good luck to him though, shame he got wasted in our current state!!

Doubt we’ll see him again. Clearly got talent, but hasn’t convinced 3 managers now. Good luck Niko.

I am so pleased for Vlasic and I hope that he returns a more rounded player for I believe he has talents which have not surfaced at Everton.

Whatever happens, one way or another this should work in our favour down the line and that’s the only thing that matters.
