Lots of Everton fans have been reacting online to reports by the Telegraph that Marco Silva will remain in charge of the club for Sunday’s trip to Leicester City, while David Moyes is keen on a return should majority shareholder Farhad Moshiri sack the Portuguese.
Silva is understood to have met with Moshiri and club directors following Saturday’s 2-0 defeat at home to Norwich City to discuss his future, with the boss fearing for his position after the result left the Blues 15th in the Premier League table.
The Everton hierarchy are extremely reluctant to make a change, though, having been keen to support Silva, and are likely set to give him a little more time to try and turn things around, starting with our upcoming trip to the high-flying Foxes.
But Moyes is said to be one option that could come in should Moshiri and the board decide enough and fire Silva, potentially until the end of the season, with our former manager keen to return to Goodison Park six years after walking out the door to join Manchester United.
Should Moshiri hire Moyes to replace Silva?
Yes, absolutely
'Til the end of the season
No, he isn't good enough
No, stick with Silva
Silva accepts that we are under-achieving at present having now lost twice at home to promoted sides, taken seven points from our last nine league games and are just four points above the relegation places.
Here are some of the reactions offered to word that Moyes is keen to come back should Silva get sacked…
Of course he does. He can’t get one anywhere else!!! Yesterday’s man. No thanks

I want the job, doesn’t qualify me though
Something seriously lacking at the top end of the club for continuous failure to perform no matter who’s manager
Moyes, love him / loathe him enjoyed taking a knife to a gunfight because it took the pressure of him & his team to perform— Philip McHale (@PhilMcBoobs) November 24, 2019
Yes, let’s have him back forgetting how he ran his contract down so we received nothing from the richest club …. then tried to screw us over Baines & Fellaini….. more importantly, what did he achieve?

What did he win with us – nothing, we cannot go backwards & appoint him again. If he was a good manager he wouldnt be out of work & he hasnt been a success at any of the clubs after Everton. We need to have a proper plan in place for our next manager like Spurs before we sack Silva

No! He does not deserve the opportunity.
